Before Attacking

  1. Check that your target isn't in a war.
  2. Retrieve your target's defense.
  3. Check for monarch bonus (SoM translation doesn't include monarch bonus. So 1.1 x Net defense at home that you calculated.
  4. Check if you casted relevant self-spells (War spoils, Quick feet, Fanaticism, Anonymity etc.).
  5. Check that you are sending the right amount and type of troops generals.
  6. Check that you're sending the right number of generals, do NOT send 4 when you need to make more than one hit.
  7. Check the attack type (if you click back when hitting the second time, remember to set it again - especially if you are using Metatron).
  8. Check if the target is online (he could have casted protective self-spells in order to make you bounce).
  9. Make sure the hour hasn't ticked since you got your intel.
  10. Recheck Intel.
  11. Hit the button.

Retrieving your Target's Defense

If he has Army Out

  1. Get SoMs, and achieve his accurate defense using a SoM Translator.

If he has Army In

  1. Get a Crystal Ball.

Calculating An Attack

Raw Offense you need to send = (Target Def * 1.02) / General Bonus / Your OME
  • 2% Oversend leads to generally a 99% success rate
  • In Angel, this normally translates as a blue bar (default settings)
  • General Bonus - 1.03 (2 Gens), 1.06 (3 Gens), 1.09 (4 Gens)
  • Your OME - Look in your Military Advisor Page. Remember to account for stance - If you are in fortified, you need to multiply this value by 0.85.
